What could be more adorable than a baby diving into their first birthday cake, while wearing a bow tie and suspenders?  Cash didn’t waste a moment on his very first occasion to try cake.  Cash’s family and I just stepped back and delighted in the opportunity to watch Cash become a cake enthusiast (and a complete mess).  Happy birthday, Cash.  Thanks for being ridiculously cute!

Breathtaking Cabrillo National Monument, located at the southern tip of the Point Loma Peninsula in San Diego, California was the perfect location for Matt and Heather’s wedding.  A rainy, Winter’s morning transformed into an evening filled with puffy, white clouds, and rays of sunshine.  As Matt and Heather said their vows amongst 14 of their closest friends and family, I was touched by their genuine appreciation and enjoyment for each other.  After a short ceremony, atop a rugged ocean cliff,  we took in some of the best views of San Diego.  It felt surreal that something so peaceful would exist in a busy city like San Diego.  The lighthouse, Downtown, and the vast Pacific Ocean, proved to be the perfect setting for Matt and Heather’s gorgeous Cabrillo wedding.  Congratulations you too, I wish you a lifetime of happiness.

An abundance of love is what comes to mind when describing Blake and Shanae.  We met at their sweet, little, La Mesa home to kick off our afternoon adventure.  After a cold Moscow Mule in their galley kitchen, we headed out to Pine Valley; where Blake and Shanae embraced one another under oak groves and pine forests.  Next, we took windy drive up Sunrise Highway, and adventured into crisp, Winter fields.  As the sun slipped below the mountains, the air turned icy cold, but these two love birds didn’t seem to notice.  Cuddled under a blanket, Blake and Shanae watched the sunset over Lake Cuyamaca.  Cheers to a beautiful engagement and an exciting future, Blake and Shanae!

The Dickey/Arnold family was full of fun on a warm Winter evening in Mission Trails.  This family was so sweet and a pleasure to spend time with.  The Santa Ana winds were blowing strong, and the meadow was lush and green from our recent storms.  Mission Trails never disappoints, remaining the perfect backdrop for this family’s session.  Cheers to a lovely family and a wonderful chapter in life!
